Ziggy literally can’t be awake and not be around music. Born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark, but Ziggy have had a variety of musical and cultural influences & inspirations after traveling around the globe from most parts of Europe to the US, to Africa, Asia and the Middle East. These experiences & travels, have inspired his musical roots and journey and is all reflected in his DJ sets & productions.

He clearly stands out from today’s crowd of typical DJs who narrowly specialize on one and only genre and sound – he is a cratedigger and a true selector and takes the road less travelled and plays everythings good for the soul, within Disco, Nu Disco, Indie Dance, Lounge and House Music with elements of Afro, Latin, Funk & Jazz to The Far East.

The name Ziggy Phunk is familiar and respected within the Nu Deep Disco- & Disco Edits-phere, because of his continiously feel-good, dancefloor oriented productions of both original work, remixes and quality edits & reworks.

    Ziggy is also known for his love and burning passion for the soulful side of US house music, in the sound of Soulful House & Afro House. House Music don't have a big scene in Copenhagen where his from, but Ziggy is determined and inspired to share top quality house music with people and to take them on a journey with his dj sets and let the people feel that real heartfelt uplifting vibe that house music brings. 

Ziggy have over the past years played at clubs, cocktailbars and lounges around Europe, USA, Asia and The Middle east. His diverse Dj sets, professionalism, dedication, love- and energy-filled dj sets, will make sure you are in for a true musical journey with him behind the decks, regardless if it's a late night club scene or an early hour sunset set.

    Because of his diversity as a producer, dj & musical artist, he is as well a sought after lounge DJ who regulary is to be found behind the decks at hotel lounges, restaurants & upscale cocktail bars, where he creates and tailors the perfect vibe and atmosphere for a relaxing night out with friends or colleagues.

Production wise, Ziggy was giving his first big break by Yam Who's Midnight Riot Records imprent with his EP called "Fully Fledged Disco Machine EP", which was hitting the Top 10 Disco/Nu-Disco chart on Junodownload and the Top 100 Nu-Disco chart on Traxsource and did as well get a review in Mixmag Magazine as “Tune Of The Month”.  From then on Ziggy has had releases on other leading labels such as Good For You Records, Peppermint Jam Records, Spirit Soul, M2MR Records, Masterworks Music, Spa In Disco, Editorial Records, Cut Rec Records, ISM Records, Rare Wiri Records with more.

     He have had more than a handfull of his tracks to hit the Top 10 charts on both Traxsource and Junodownload and Ziggy have seen the likes and support from artists such as Joey Negro (Dave Lee), Purple Disco Machine, Mark Knight, Soulmagic, Mousse T, Eric Kupper, Dimitri From Paris, Julius Papp, Fabio Tosti, Kenny Summit and more.

Ziggy have been granted a spot on Traxsource' Top 100 Nu-Disco artists of the year 4 years in a row, both in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018... This acknowledgement have not passed by unnoticed, and more labels, venues and likeminded artists have got their eyes open toward Ziggy's talent, both as a Producer and a DJ.
